Start with making a new box:
The GIMP: File: New (Ctrl-N): 100x100
Let's use the first picture:

Copy (Ctrl-C) and paste the image (Ctrl-V) then anchor the image.
Layer: Anchor Layer (Ctrl-H)
Were going to be using 6 layers and since we already used the Backround Layer, let's make 5 new layers:
Layer: New Layer: Transparent (repeat)

Then let's just take all these pictures and put them in each of those new layers (one each layer). Just copy and paste.

Now, if you go to Filters: Animation: Playback and you can see what you did. Push the Play/Stop.
That's how to make animation (as far as I know) with GIMP. Saving your animation and put it to the GIF form. Click Save.

A box should appear. It will have different things to "check" off. Just click the Save as Animation.
Another box should appear and it will have more things to check off. You want it to loop forever.
_Delay between where unspecified: 170: miliseconds
Frame disposal where unspecified: Cumulative layers (combined)

Then press Ok. There's your animation!

Of course you can always do more with it than just those pictures.
Hope that was helpful!
Btw, I got the official soundtrack for the Prisoner of Azkabaan for my birthday from
